Police Accountability

While many Americans called for Police Reforms following the murder of George Floyd and subsequent Black Lives Matter protests, there has been little to no actual changes. Police are still shuffled around to other precincts following Officer Involved Shootings, and the Public is left in the dark. I believe that if an Officer discharges his weapon in the line of duty, that information must be disclosed in 24 hours, and all bodycam footage must be released, unedited, within 48 hours. We must work to demilitarize our Police, or eventually that militarization will be turned inward on Citizens and non-Citizens alike.
