Codify access to Gender Affirming Care
Legal professional's are not Doctors and should have no place in determining what is acceptable health care for someone; that should be between a Doctor and their patient. Access to Gender Affirming Care must be protected, as it is attacked not out of care and consideration for those seeking treatment, but so those who find it distasteful can impose their beliefs on others. Gender Affirming Care for people under 18 covers a wide variety of procedures, from Therapy, to Hormone Blockers. Applying a one size fits all approach to try and discriminate against Trans and Queer children, will only negatively affect the mental health of those children, and provides a permission structure for them to be discriminated against. LGBTQ+ children and their access to the healthcare than can save their lives must be protected.
