Prisoner Rights Reform
We need to re-evaluate how we rehabilitate criminals in this country, so that they can actually serve a justifiable sentence for crimes committed, and reintegrate them into society. Felons lose many of their constitutional rights, even after fulfilling the obligations of their punishments (prison time and or parole/fines), which only furthers to alienate them from society. Many felons require the goodwill of small businesses to find gainful employment, despite paying their debt to society. I stand for the reinstatement of their rights, and a change to employment law to include their protection against discrimination for hiring purposes, and to prevent them from having their labor taken advantage of.
